3rd Gear: Poor OEM support is one of the reasons we have a strong independent parts and service industry in the US. Even in the collision industry, OEM-quality parts can be supplied by non-OEM sources. Is it not the case in Norway? Seems like a great opportunity for someone to start a new business to pick up Tesla’s

I generally agree with you when it comes to getting money back on a restoration, but in this case I think it could really be different. This is a very rare Jeep, with a restoration that appears to have been performed very well. It’s a brand with a somewhat cult-like following, so I think there are people out there

I wish I could give you an extra star or two for the excellent NP/CP scale.

It’s a lot more than I would spend on it personally, but for a Jeep fan I could see this being a true “must have” to make a collection unique. The rarity of it, as well as the quality of the restoration, mean it’ll probably retain its value very well and you may even see some appreciation.

For anyone looking to find a specialist to rebuild this car, I don’t recommend Googling “vintage escort service” while at work.

Any surgery could lead to infection, or the patient could have complications from the anesthesia. We often refer to “routine surgery” but there’s a lot that can go wrong with even the most basic procedures.

Hope he gets well soon.  It’ll be interesting to see what direction the companies take after his departure.

IS there actually a reduction in Realtors though? It seems like it’s still a viable profession with a lot of people getting into it. Maybe ten or fifteen years from now that will be different, but at the moment a good Realtor (read: not a part-timer just looking to mark time and get a fat check) can still add a lot of

This is honestly one of the ugliest vehicles I’ve ever seen.

You are my hero!

I think Toyota has generally gone above and beyond by how they take care of recalls and defects. To go through the trouble and expense of replacing a whole frame on at least three of their most popular truck models, covering like ten model years, is unheard of. Or in some cases they bought the truck back for much more

Milk” isn’t a word that’s trademarked by the dairy industry, so I think this is a bit ridiculous. Last I checked, milk of magnesia contains no dairy and neither does the Milky Way. And an employee who is “milking it” is dragging something out, not pretending to work for the dairy industry.

The heart wants what the heart wants!

No, I think he actually meant mimes.

Crack pipe, but only because of the price. If it was ~$7500 I would have voted NP but I can’t see spending close to (or over) $10k on this. I’m sure the bra either wore through the paint, or caused it to fade differently than the rest of the car. It’s otherwise in very nice shape, and I’d have fun driving it. You

“Caaaarrrrrlllllllllllll!!!! What is wrong with you?”

Haha, that happened to us a few times, too. I always tried to stay aware of when it was happening, because it was very much her purchase and I was only there to make sure she wasn’t getting screwed or talked into something she didn’t need/want.

Yikes. Who knows if it actually needed all of that work, too. They might have added a ton of stuff it didn’t really need in order to scare him into buying something else, with the hopes that he’d buy something there.

It’s incredible to me that people still try to pull this stuff like it’s 1975. Bringing a spare key is a great idea.

That’s the thing I can’t wrap my head around... the dealership didn’t even have the title in the case I know about. The brazenness of the dealership to try that shit is only matched by the stupidity of the person falling for it. It really bothers me to see the extent at which scumbags will try to scam people that are
