It’s probably for security more than anything. If you can’t access the screen, you can’t open the glove box, and it’s probably cheaper for them to design the app-controlled mechanism instead of having a separate button and lock.

I wish there was a Forza for monster trucks. With all of the types of vehicles you can drive in the various games over the years, there’s never been a monster truck game that felt remotely realistic to me. The graphics were generally sub-par, same with the physics, etc.

Happy New Year!

I forgot about that one! It has a lot of potential, and it’s another great plug-in that doesn’t make you look like a dweeb.

Congratulations Jason! I had never heard of this car before today, but it’s awesome and it’s equally awesome seeing someone realize their dream.

I’m with you there. Plus a lot of the newer plug-ins don’t look like dorky or awkward anymore, they just look like regular cars. Fusion Energi, Pacifica, Ioniq... those are all cars I would honestly look at the next time around, and they’re competitively priced. I’d look at a Volt also, but I can’t bring myself to

I saw one of these in London a few months ago parked in front of the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. I had never even heard of one before, but it was just parked there by itself and I got to take a really good look at it. It was a treat!

I really hope the next Cars movie has a crazy gas-station-owning character in it named Guy Fiero, who sports lots of chrome pieces where they don’t belong and a white roof.

Essentially $1,500 for a clean, serviceable rolling chassis... a blank canvas with which to create something rad. Many drivetrain swaps are possible. Crappy interior just means a couple of racing seats and a cage are easier to justify.

I always found the Crosstour oddly appealing, although the very high belt line at the rear makes it look like it’s wearing mom jeans.

I can’t say the ZDX is the BEST looking option because I think it was in the worst era for Acura’s beak, but it’s definitely unique and reliable and maybe awkward looking enough to make

I’m going to suggest something at the other end of the price spectrum from my previous reply... A 2010-2011 Acura ZDX. A what? A ZDX. It’s a car so obscure that it’s sure to stand out and become a conversation piece; they sold less than 10,000 of them across their entire run.

I think the value of the super rare cars will drive the value of the market overall. Many people “settle” for classic cars that aren’t necessarily special in any way because the halo car they really want is unattainable. If that halo car suddenly comes into reach, then there’s no reason for them to find something even

Dalida should spend a paltry $3,000 on a beautiful Toyota Previa and put the extra $17k for student loans or a rainy day fund.

Yeah, any time a dealer says they’ll take something on trade for $500 it’s not worth it, unless it’s a David Tracy-style rust bucket. Anything that runs and drives and has a prayer of passing inspection is worth at least $1,000 retail any day of the week and would probably go quickly on Craigslist. Especially an old

There are a lot of people who will only eat peanut butter on white or honey wheat or something... but peanut butter on rye can be a great sandwich! Especially if you add pickle chips. And maybe bacon.

Counterpoint: Maybe you could have gotten another grand for yours!

That really looks like a lot of fun. It makes me wish I had done better in school, or had $100k laying around to join jetBlue’s Gateway program...

I follow a page called “Live from the Flight Deck” on Facebook. They often have videos shot through the HUD and it’s really great.

The approach into Boston is like that for me. If we come in over the water, the runway appears at the last second. If we come in from the south, it looks like you’re just grazing the top of the shipping cranes about ten seconds before touchdown.

I voted NP. The price may seem a bit much for the car right NOW, but it’s pretty rare to find one of these that’s so clean and 80's cars are starting to see a rise in value. I think these are far more interesting than a Fox-body Mustang, and it’s a turbo four with three pedals so it should be fun to drive even if it’s
