I guess she left the key(remote or not) in the car while she’s away? I always have mine in my pocket, so even if the ignition is left on, if I am not around the car isn’t going any where. Plus, a stick shift should do part of the deterrence.

The head lights look like an air intake of one of those old retired fighter/bomber.... sorry, just can’t remember what it was, Google isn’t helping either.
Is it legal to be driven on the road like this? May be the term “operable” is still debatable.
I think the news headline is missing a “daddy’s” between “their” and “supercars”.
I think it should be a world wide ban on destruction of manual transmission cars regardless the cause. Seriously, they are already on the verge of extinction, we need to be protecting them!
Sounds like a case of PTSD of an engineer from working with industrial designers. Guess what, the other way applies just as much! However, on a serious note, it’s very different between designing in an academic and practical environments. As students they are ENCOURAGED to make mistakes, otherwise, you kill their…
Study models are often made of sculpted clay and painted like a car. However for final models, they are often made of a mixture of materials, such as CNCed plastic (ABS, acrylic etc) or metal. Basically, whatever it takes to represent the design to the highest accuracy.
The car was imported illegally so it wasn’t allowed on public roads. The owner slapped on a fake plate and drove it anyways, got caught, and got what he deserved. I mean, look at the car, absolutely destroyed by his poor taste!
Here in Taiwan, in-land domestic flights were wiped out as soon as high speed rail became available. It wasn’t even the matter of price because a HSR ticket isn’t that cheap either, but it was the convenience of frequent availability, reliability(always on time) and not having to go through the airport. Seat wise,…
Well I don’t consider myself a collector anymore, I am just a hoarder of toy cars. That said, I’d really love to see kids play with them because most kids just focus on tablets and smart phones these days. Here, every weekend you will see parents bring kids to the toy stores and the kids will gather around the card…
Another one, on the same road, different day.
What if it’s not “just a boulder”?
Well I for one wish the world of car design would have taken a step back. I mean, we have had arguably the most beige, boring and uncharacteristic cars from all the major car brands especially through the mid 2000s. The BMW flame design language which was like the Memphis movement of car design stirred up a whole…
What I am not too happy about this is, Hotwheels have been rather lazy these days. Instead of designing a car specifically for the character, they just slap some superhero graphics on old designs and call it a day, and it gets repeated and repeated. I get it that new molds cost money, but considering how many they…
Funny because they are the same company.
Speaking of highway rest stops, Taiwan has a few pretty good one. Highway stops are for meals and rest room breaks, so you can imagine the rate at which passengers and drivers go through them, especially during holiday seasons or long weekends where you can expect to be stuck in traffic jams for many many hours trying…
I’m totally missing this in my childhood... and adulthood!
