When I was car shopping, I considered a new GT86 and used 135i(roughly 6 years old), both at around the same price. Performance wise, 135i hands down wins, but after factoring the upcoming maintenance cost as well as running cost of the 135i, I said NOPE and went ahead to place an order on the GT86. No regret!
