I’d think there should have been some major competitive league for Nerf already. To me it’s much more accessible than paint ball and air soft, and won’t get your arrested when you show them off in the public(or not?). Nah I think it’s the urge to feel righteous, like characters in a superhero movie. When there seems to be a group who thinks something if right, it becomes easier for people around it to simply agree with it. It’s opportunistic, cheap and a convenient way to be stupid.
