But but art is priceless!!! I wonder who's paying the property tax. That's the one thing that is really expensive in Detroit.

Woah that's a really old school vellum marker rendering! I'm glad I kept a new pad of those vincent vellum for times when my hands get itchy again.
When I was going to school in Detroit, I heard that a group of Architecture design students from U of M bought a house in Detroit for dirt cheap so they can experiment however they want in a real space as opposed to limited studio spaces. I think this will be quite a good opportunity for academic engineering…
For that money, I can't even get a M235i here.
My info on Singapore is outdated. I know nothing about night clubs because I don't go to these places. My co-workers used to talk about how many times they've been to Singapore and how well they know the country. Well the only thing they knew about Singapore was how much beer costs in those clubs.
I grew up in…
Yes! I used to fly a lot and ever since 9/11, flying has always been a dreadful experience especially if the flight is going or leaving US. US domestic flights are, needless to say, pretty bad. It's actually not the flight itself, but the airport experience. I always feel as though I am already been criminalized…
As much as how I love the Daytona Coupe, I wish they'd have been a bit more ambitious on the design of the car. Retain it's classic styling but add their own take of what an electric Daytona Coupe should look like. Some sharper details? Wide body? I don't know, but something that will separate it from all the replicas!
Honestly speaking, that's the one thing they need to export.
Expensive! Expect to pay top dollar for pretty much everything. I lived in Singapore from 1990~2001 and it was a nice and pleasant city back then. Now when you go to a restaurant, they charge you for the wet napkins and peanuts(appetizer) separately (S$1.00 each) and you have to tell the waiter to take them away if…
By far the most efficient airport I've been to. I lived in Singapore for 11 years and my record of getting from the boarding gate to the taxi (arrival) is 15 min. The luggage always arrive at the conveyor belt before the passenger and immigration usually is a breeze to get through. Even when the custom officer singles…
I thought it was a weird Audi at first glance, before reading the title.
Aluminum dust explosion.... that's really really bad.
Haha, reminds me of this old lady near were I work who strolls her pug on baby stroller and never let's the dog touch the ground(except when peeing or pooping). Of course, in this case, it's more like a abusively pampered cheetah.
A380 for budget airline?
BTW I did check with Secretary of State office and they said while there's no law that says one must have insurance for a car in storage, there's also nothing to prevent insurance companies from putting whoever in whatever category. I did, however, switch to "storage insurance" the next time I leave for the summer,…
I am currently in a dilemma. A brand new manual GT86 or a used 08 BMW 135i auto? Both at the same price range here.
When I went to school in Detroit, I had a Detroit zip code on my address and it cost me $5000/yr to insure a Honda. Most people who were in similar situation did not even bother with insurance. While it's about responsibility to have insurance cover, at least liability, insurance companies on the other hand stop at…
51 dead? Dude, there's not even a confirmed figure. Many are still in the wreckage and rescue efforts are still going on. What happened? No real answer yet. Bad weather is probably the main cause. Human error( as in making the wrong decision given the circumstances) too.
What about the people who are supposed to fly them? You can recondition a plane quickly to bring it back to the battle field, only when you have the pilots to fly them. I am not sure if flying a jet in combat is as natural as riding a bicycle. I can imagine the constant training and practice to keep those skills sharp.
Many cars can get to that speed, but what impresses me most is how quickly it does.
