The best is watching Dom’s orange jacket disappear 28” at a time...
I’m pretty happy you’re not a scientist. Because that’s the most poorly controlled test on the planet.
Starting price of the Scat Pack is $38,890 and HP is 485. That's $80.18 / hp according to most calculators. It fits nicely into the front of the pack in my book.
It's a British band called Savages. And unlike Geddy, it's actually a lady singing. :)
boooooo! Anytime you're in town, shoot me a note. Because beer.
Either that or the Jazzhead car buying scene.
Nope. Just the Shaker specific models. I think it jumps the price to over $40.
Are you coming into the city at all? beer is on me...
NO!!! um........ yes.
it would have been a nicer test car experience in a manual... I will not disagree with you.
it kicked into fourth when I finally let up... Chrysler reps mentioned that the wheels were most likely doing 120mph at that point.
thanks! a labor of love...
By high production quality I am referring to high production quality per the limits of the pitch/test. Sorry about the mislead on that.
Car commercials are the pinnacle of high production quality. As are high end photo shoots for ad agencies and anything else that clients want to spend money on. But this was pitch work for a non-OEM automotive client. It was never intended to be a car commercial.
to be honest, I'm not really sure. I've been a Jalopnik contributor for a number of years and when they started the Kinja platform, someone just droppedy name in as an editor.
I did have one edition that I converted to B&W and adjusted the color to be downright brooding. I dug it but I knew the client I was aiming at would not have. The only reason I didn't shoot 24p was I was lazy in setting up all the cameras. :)
I couldn’t agree more.
I’m not sure if you read my earlier comment but I’d like to point out that this was pitch work. My time is worth a lot to me and as a professional business owner, I charge accordingly when I do work for my clients. My goal wasn’t to bring down the daily wage for photographers and videographers.
The R8 is not a Zip Car... Sorry about that! We rented a Ford TransitConnect passenger van as a chase car. :)
The best camera you have is the one in your hand. Gear means very little when it comes to getting a good shot. It’s 90% photographer and 5% luck and 5% gear.
