ah i dont think this is correct. first off, the issue is not 16:9. Stuff shot in 16:9 appears that way, correctly, on your widescreen TV. but stuff shot in the wider 2.39:1 appears cropped. i think its just because netflix realizes that MOST people just dont want black bars on their content.
