In other words, not building the tunnel, or otherwise replacing the existing lanes from the viaduct - which failed structurally in 2001, is sinking several inches every year, and WILL collapse at the next earthquake - equates to eliminating…

The biggest problem with the tunnel is it’s lack of downtown exits and onramps. Everyone using it to get downtown is going to clog city streets even further. Remember when the fish truck overturned and the viaduct was shut down?

Nope, he needs to learn the local arterial streets and stop bitching. The existing viaduct this tunnel is replacing already sucks in rush hour. Airport way is a much better option. 

I’m not talking about random stadiums (on this side of the pond it’s soccer, and stadiums). I’m talking about the specific stadium the Rams abandoned, which can easily fit a soccer field without unreasonable modifications.

NFL fields and MLS fields fit quite nicely in the same confines.

Also, the viaduct already sucks ass in the morning and evening. Learn to use airport way, just dont speed. Lots of speed traps on airport.

Technically the viaduct is a two lane highway. Its also flanked on the north and south side by city streets with a 45mph speed limit and numerous traffic lights and some railroad crossings.

Standard soccer field is same length as NFL field, 120 yards, and the field can be opened to allow a 75 yard width. Size is not an issue. The only problem is the dome’s ability to house a grass field.

That said, if an MLS team wants to play on grass they can easily figure it out. Other stadiums straight up roll…
