Brad... I'll help you out with that... let me know if you want to get rid of your CR-48

As soon as the iPad doesn't need a computer for setup, backups, or updates it will be the greatest device. Until then, its just "nice".

Never got one. If anyone wants to pass their's on, Ill be happy to test it!

Giz isn't written for normal people. It's written for geeks & tech heads.

Robotic: please look at my second post. I clearly referred to the iPad in a business environment.

Does Windows Phone 7 actually have a 10% share? Or does that include legacy Windows 6.x devices too?

And to update it, you have to go back to your friends computer.

Do you have an iPad? How do you update it? Use a computer. How do you back it up? Use a computer. How do you load documents or music that isn't downloaded from iTunes? Use a computer.

Let's talk use in business... the iPad requires iTunes for setup, management and backups (third party MDMs may offer some functionality but not setup).

Another key point: The Xoom's e-mail program (NOT gmail) has a 5mb attachment limit. You cannot increase it. Even if your ISP or Exchange account allows larger attachments, its a no go.

Key point: The Xooms (and all of the other Android tablets that will follow) do not require a computer to be setup. Huge, huge, huge plus over the iPad. (I have both)

I really like the song. It has gotten some GREAT conversations going... conservatives, liberals, straight, and gays. But, the music video sucked!

Vey well written and great appreciated. We all need to remember that sometimes a little honesty and courtesy to the company will be repaid.

This was a well known "secret" at Charter Communications. When the automated voice started talking, just swear at it. You will get a human voice asap.

+1 Steam is the reason I keep gaming. It makes distribution EASY and ridiculously fun. Most games have Steam ONLY DRM methods and I'm ok with that.

I think it's pretty impressive. Let consider crowd sourcing more things... like parks, boardwalks, happy places.

Yes, because I want my site to be difficult to navigate and never load correctly! Yep! That's sure to drive hits.

As of the date of my post (9, June 2010) my statement was correct. As of today, my statement is incorrect. Exchange will consistently administer Android devices.

So, I'm sure his HD is encrypted and we already know that his freedom of speech protects the encryption key. Curious to see how this plays out.
