"I hope noone sees this, otherwise I'm through.."
Well, it is what anno domini means, and I assume the govt still uses the BC/AD nomenclature, but I do think it would be fun to see "in this, the 2014th year of the Common Era" in a presidential proclamation.
Totally off-topic, but am I the only one who thinks it's weird that we still have "year of our Lord" in official statements like this? It seems rather old-fashioned, and the angry atheist old lady inside me is saying, "And whose Lord would that be?"
I don't feel like it's so much that it "should" be beyond exploitative merchandising. Just that doing it on such a scale seems both antithetical to the premise of a take-down of gross consumerism and just a weird choice in general. I think an "amusement" park may be about scaring you as much as having fun, but to base…
all day, erryday. god he's fit. i have dated men of all shapes, sizes, heights, weights and races. i'm like the UN of d. but just once - just once - i would like to know what its like to be with someone who has abs like that. i would probably black out and not be able to enjoy it.
Everything I've heard about Chris Evans states that he is a Good Guy (NOT a "Nice Guy") and very sweet.
Seriously. Captain America can get it.
Sandy, I am NOT mad at you. Chris Evans is hella fine.
ugh J Simp's "bodies before babies" hashtag rubs me all sorts of wrong ways...
Your dad sounds awesome, give him a hug from me! I just asked my dad if he is a feminist and he made a face at me. So I asked him if he believes in equal rights and also reproductive rights for women and he said of course, so I said congratulations, you're a feminist, lol. Seems to me that certain folks of a…
Fun Forest? Nope, it's gone! We've got Chihuly's thing there now. While I agree that a decent amusement park is sorely lacking (and no, Enchanted Village / Wild Waves and the 3 weeks of the Puylallup Fair don't really count), Fun Forest was awesome in it's own kitschy, time-capsule way.
You would get PTSD every time you saw a group of people celebrating their culture in a stereotypical way.
Among other things, ScarJo Can't. Fucking. Sing. Her album of Tom Waits covers made me want to stick corkscrews in my ear holes.
Me too! I often vote Hilty. I think she does want a TV/Movie career.
Okay, bear with me for a second: Xtina. I know, Burlesque was not that well acted, but you have to consider the material. And in spite of the material, she really was captivating. I mean, when she sang.
Y'all need to understand how a nice Southern lady talks. "I guess she's full bosomed." translated really is more like "She has absolutely no qualifications other than a somewhat larger than average chest that is but a shadow of my own".
Found on Twitter... (the mis-use of "betrothed" is really bothering me but the rest is spot-on)
