This is hilarious to me. Guess what mr. unknown... your game mode is not unique nor the first of its kind. Get over yourself... and PS. you ain’t no Sid Meier, get your damn name off of things.
Are there similarities beyond the general idea of the mode? I mean, PUBG wasn’t the first battle royale game.
Um, the battle royale concept is from popular culture so it’s the public domain, no?
oh the irony of this is hilarious.
GRRM should chronicled all of this down into 7 book novels.
I’m sorry, but you seem to have an enormous lack of understanding here.
It’s no different than any other game where you can voice chat in private with specific people. In this case, they were invited by the devs for a night out, and talked about the game. Decided they were done with the BS that was going on and went for it. It was pretty ingenious.
But the player’s name is “the Judge.”
I’ve never played this game, but damn, if it is half as good as some of the stories it produces, it should be great. I really enjoy reading these Eve article.
Requisite comment: I love reading about Eve, but god damn I never want to play it.
“Overwatch fans are losing it over a character who has barely appeared”
I remember visiting the now Legacy Hub awhile back, it was one of the coolest things to see and really brought the community together. I’m glad that they were able to create a new Hub. Can’t wait to make my trip there!!
This was a great read, I love the messages left in Legacy Hub. I’ve been playing since launch but never tried to get to the Hub, maybe I’ll have to check out the new one.
This was a fascinating read. I’m always amazed at how fans of games like this are able to essentially expand the gameplay beyond what was intended. It reminds of when “adventure maps” came out for MineCraft that essentially created scripted story missions in a game that - at the time - had no tools for that.
Yeah I have ran into a few of them, but I was already at least 9 to 10 jumps away from the starting point. Making credits is fairly easy, I made my first few million just from some light trading and scavenging wrecked freighters. I even shot down a few high bounty targets for some easy credits. No real need to grind…
I have put a crazy amount of time over the weekend with this new patch. I can’t tell you when was the last time I spent 13+ hours playing this game. Before I would play about an hour and then get bored and move on.
That’s true. It probably would have avoided a lot of the complaints if it had been labeled as an Early Access Beta when it was first released.
I think part of that was part of the point - although when you read all three books together, it does feel like a complete package. It’s almost much more about the atmosphere than it is the story.
Man, Ex Machina should have gotten way more love in the mainstream. Oscar Isaac deserved to be nominated for All Of The Things. His delivery of the line "fucking unreal" alone was award worthy. Not to mention he is the only person I have ever seen disco dance in a way that is still vaguely menacing.
