Still seems pretty Japanese and homongeneous to me in the anime and movies, maybe slightly less homogenous than today but still quite homogenous nonetheless, surely nothing like Hong Kong (used a lot in cyberpunk stories, movies and games) or the city in Blade Runner.

Also about the Prince of Persia thing, it’s completely off the point because Jake actually is quite fitting for the role, Persian people do have a big percentage of their genetic makeup consisting of Caucasian genes, so a Caucasian actor with a slight tan (needed due to different weather conditions and time period of

The live-action movie is very clearly inspired by the two GitS movies made by Oshii and pretty much copies entire set-pieces, characters and scenes from it.

If you live in a homogenous country like Japan and need a cyborg body the smart choice is to go with a Japanese body/look not a foreginer look which makes no sense whatsoever.

He is comparing them to Mamoru Oshii’s movies cause they are what inspired the live a tion version, and those were pretty heavy on philosophy and existential crises as much as they were heavy on iconic action scenes (like most thing Oshii made, looking at you Angel Egg), yet you don’t see any of that here in the

Pretty much, the movie is clearly made for the non-fans of GitS not for the fans of the anime so they don’t care much what the fans think of it, they want to attract the people who know nothing about GitS but like action/sci-fi movies + Scarlett fans.

Dubbing is a fundamentally differnt process than making a live-action adaption of an anime show/movie, with dubbing the original show with the original voice actors is intact and you can easily go watch it with subs any time (and sometimes both are included on the same disk and can be swapped with a click), dubbing is

Most of them are judging the casting choice not the movie itself.

You seem to know very little about Japanese people, they are a bit too proud of their purity, there a is high degree of Xenophobia in Japan aganist anything not considered Japanese amd that includes people, even if you live there for years many of them won’t even consider you Japanese enough, it’s not a big problem

Most Japanese characters don’t actually look Japanese because of the art styles used in most anime (which are usually heavily stylized) not because they actually look like Americans or aren’t Japanese.

An American-Japanese actress would have played the role just fine if they wanted to actually please fans of tge source material (in our case the anime movies which this movie takes most inspiration from), this is a decision based solely on financial reasons because the movie makers are clearly making this movie not

His bizarro world drawings kinda remind me of some of the really weird stuff that the late (and awesome) Mobius used to draw.

Just lower XP gain by 60-70% and there be far less incentive to farm XP from Custom Games as opposed to actually playing the game.

Orisa right now is ok but she feels a bit redundant (yet another typical barrier and a mini Zarya-ult attack), but i think there is room to make her feel more unique with very simple and intuitive modifications specifically to her Protective Barrier and Fortify moves.

Improving the Protective Barrier:

I don’t know where the Texas chainsaw massacre ref is coming from, but personally when i saw Roadhog’s new skin and the rest of the new ones it was clear to me they are channeling Journey to the West ... no chainsaw massacres involved XD

Although i hate to see MS killing yet another game i have to say that Scalebound gameplay didn’t seem that interesting, the premise and visuals were interesing but i saw several gameplay vids and nothing about them caught my attention.

I don’t care if it’s not exclusive anymore, i still like how it looks and think it will be a fun game, can’t wait to play it and glad it didn’t get canceled.

It is one of the best competitive shooters out there, and you are an idiot if you think similar games don’t have the same issues including bugs that take months to patch.

Strange because in many photos from the SW set it seems she was having fun while wearing the metal bikini, i suppose what could really be annoying about it is what she mentioned about having to sit in a stiff pose during the filming, or getting repeatedly asked about it over the years, or it being the only thing Leiah

If everyone turns out to be wrong and it’s a good movie then it will be a good surprise and maybe a the start of good live-action anime adaptions (which Japanese already managed to do few times .. Kenshin being one of the best).
