What did you expect?... Look, I always bash graphics junkies for claiming graphics are the most important thing in a game ever and their dismissive attitude towards 2D or retro game.

Except the FF wasn’t really about player agency, sure FF13 was the most linear FF game (up until you reach the open portion in the final third of the game) but that doesn’t make it a bad game, a little disappointing or frustrating maybe but not bad in any experience ruining way.
