It seems odd because he's a real person and not an actor, but you're gonna love Charles, Di's brother.

Every time I read that I audibly guffaw.

Lady Carnavorn is umm, yeah, she's an aristocrat. Even better than Highclere is the documentary with Lady Di's brother and their ancestral home, Althorp, home of the Spencers

Netflix has a nice documentary on Highclere, the house where the series is filmed. Very interesting

He's getting rave reviews for his role in The Crimson Field as well.

Yup, they do

You gotta watch season 4, it's outstanding, Mary is a ghost, Isobel gets weirder and O'Brian shines.

Now it's just gratuitous rapes and Bates turning out to be the murderer we all knew he was the whole time, I mean seriously Anna was the only person who didn't see that shit.

But she's smitten with Lord Merton and not the doctor. (I dig both Merton and the Doc)

She gets interesting, but that silly tractor-driving liaison ruined her for me, it was simply a terrible plot twist. And then her mewling over the old fellow before she's left at the altar and her desperation to be married make me cringe. She's more interesting in season four but she annoys me.

but the whole Mary/Matthew storyline pretty much ran roughshod over everything from season two on, so I can understand why Sybil and Branson's story seemed kind of dumb.

Great call on having more Rosamund, you're correct, she's been underused and the physical tension between her and the Dowager Countess crackles on screen. Plus, they dress her in some absolutely stunning dresses — that blue and orange number when she is counseling Edith about the pregnancy? Smashing.

And that reminds me, as a man privileged with good hair, why I like a good barber. No muss, no fuss, just cut it short all around, tapered on the sides and back and let me get back to be ridiculously handsome and debonair.

Rumors are that Edith is Rosemund's daughter and that storyline will play out in season 5. Also, Edith, after Cora and bates is simply the worst chracter on the show.

I found the Branson/Sybil match the most contrived of seasons one and two, particularly after Branson is found to be conspiring with the Irish rebels and the plan to douse the general with the foul smelling goop. He would have been run out the country if not severely prosecuted and there is no way Carson would have

Mr. Blake and his pig knowledge.

Yes, this all day long.
