We're human beings. Through evolution, violence has come to us as naturally as blinking. For instance, I once shot a man over a game of Risk... with an airsoft gun, mind you.

It isn't really a secret that 99.9% of video games since the beginning of the medium haven't been original or creative.

Blood in the Sand features unlocking new powers through experience points and has practically no story, so the joke was that it was a WRPG.

By loose definition, every video game ever made is an RPG, seeing as how you always assume a role. Linear narrative and character development would make most BioWare games JRPGs,

Silent Hill 2 was easily the weakest of the original four, in my opinion. The environments were blase, the buildings were too open, and ammo was absolutely everywhere. I think everyone just loves Silent Hill 2 because of Pyramid Head, who is definitely a cool antagonist, but it didn't make up for the fact that the

Yes, I hate it a lot.

Perhaps that does make it a JRPG, but then 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand is a sweet WRPG ( the bane of RPGs).

They probably nerfed it for us dumb weterners. Before you save your game, you sould stock up on health items like beer. It ups your sporadic move set more so you can confuse the enemies with your sneak moves.

It isn't even hiding. I could crouch behind a DVD case and be invisible to the world. That killed it for me.

All you need are some friends with loose morals and a bottle of whiskey. It makes Uno into a blood sport.

Skyrim is a hack n' slash with the most mediocre story ever in life. Plus, it isn't turn-based, so it doesn't count as a JPRG. It is not in the club.

I'm pretty jaded when it comes to horror, and I'd seen Amnesia's tricks many times in the past, so I was pretty unfazed. COC was absolutely lame, if you ask me. I didn't even finish the game because it was so boring. The utterly defenseless part in Amnesia was done okay, but I like games like Clock Tower and Haunting

My dad taught me how to play that Chess JRPG; it didn't even come with an instruction booklet! What a cheap-o company, right? It made me use this weird thing called strategic logic, and I was like wtf where is the QTE?! I was really scared, at first.

Nope. You'll have to survive the third one once it is started by Finland. Didn't see that coming, huh? They team with Japan and use Gundams.

There are just so many JRPGs out there, several are released a month, so its nice to have a change sometimes. I went back to one of my old favorites, Dune II. Great JRPG.

Sounds like the natural evolution of gaming in the business world.

God dammit, I sure as hell hope not. That would mean a century that is essentially defined by absolutely no storytelling or emotion.

"Like GTA in real life."

One day soon I will see some online "journalist" post the headline:

"Saw a naked woman, it was like The Sims with cheat codes in real life!"

I will only hope that the woman was properly paid for her time.

If I get X number of sick days a year, but don't ever get sick, then I will do whatever I damn well please with them. I'm going to take a sick day tomorrow and use it to stand at the corner and hiss at old ladies, just to spite you.

Deep Down is a fine title. Not every game can be named like Guilty Gear.

Deep Down: Midnight Core Blood Dungeon XX SlashTRIGGER!

And you choose your own role. Will you be the drunk? The harlot? The backstabber? The quiet sneak? Will love blossom if you sacrifice your winning hand to help the pretty girl win? It gets deep.
