Oh awesome the Age of Consent Explainer has logged on.
I love how rattled she has made rich white men.
“I have never thought or could never really think about those things,...”
Change scares my feelings, which, when you have them, are gay.
1) Fuckin’ gross. Ages of consent be damned, anyone not in high school that sexualizes 16 year olds is disgusting
“I have never thought that thing I said” is pretty impressive by the admittedly already high standard of bullshit to say in insincere apologies.
“not acting in line with the club, who focus on moral values even more than technical values.”
You know how the old defense for a lot of creepy dudes banging underage teens is, “She looks older?” The opposite could not possibly be more true for Greta. She's 16, but she has the vibe of a precocious 11-year-old. (This in no way diminishes the righteousness of her fury, BTW.) So for this dude to be saying that…
The colonizer/gentrified “discovered " the topiary dog.
Les Miserables would have been a lot shorter if Jean Valjean would have just explained that he didn’t know the bread was a sentimental item.
The amount of people in these comments defending this trash...
The GOP role model, everyone:
Ok, so arguments that it was already banned years before Bonaly even skated, and arguments that it was banned for being too dangerous are legitimate justifications. But post-hoc justifications about how the back flip is “too circusy,” or “unattractive,” etc. sound suspicious to me, just like how arguments that skating…
I loved her so much. She hated wearing tights so she’d just draw lines down the back of her legs to fake it. I always thought she was so badass.
My argument is the rule-setting organizations went out of their way to label Bonaly’s jumps as illegal, just to prevent her from looking too badass compared to the white skaters. It was obvious she had athletic abilities that other skaters did not and she never got enough credit for them.
It’s technically a jump. And successfully executed jumps should be given points. At first they tried the reasoning that it doesn’t count as a jump because she landed it on two feet—so then Bonaly started landing them on one foot, at which point they didn’t have any reason to *not* count it as a jump, but they still…
Surya Bonaly
Crazy how the judges would actually deduct points from her whenever she did that! It was racist af.
