It sounds like a Second World War fighter plane. A very, very ill Second World War fighter plane.

In before Google car.
Even if I get hit with a fine, I'll just write it up as a business expense to save on paying tax. Court, F1 style!
(Note: McLaren actually did this in 2007. They saved something in the region of $15,000,000.)
There's a world of difference between convergent design within narrow regulations, and blatant plagiarism with a clean sheet.
More than that, I think they're mechanically identical under the surface. It's the innovative design under the skin that really makes the DeltaWing tick; if Nissan have lifted that, I can't see how they have a leg to stand on.
If only there were some way to settle this. Two racing cars with similarly matched performance, both in need of a racing series with some representative competition… nope, I can't think of anything.
Will it come with an AMG engine?
I actually enjoyed the physics-fuckery in NFS3. I remember one short-cut where there was a 50% chance you'd make it, and a 50% chance you'd be launched into the atmosphere. Good times.
That's some Need For Speed 3 quality physics there.
"NACA ducts – you're doing it wrong."
I'm more interested in the gunmetal paintjob. Because boy, does that make this car sing.
"A long time since we've had such tight wheel-to-wheel racing"? It's not that long since the Bahrain Grand Prix…
Yeah, you've nailed it. The problem wasn't the car itself – it's that the car wasn't what was promised.
Disappointment that the production engine wasn't as great as the concept engine. Admittedly my original post didn't make that clear.
Yeah – I meant underpowered relative to the concept, but I didn't make that clear. But I also can't find the edit button in the latest version of Kinja. Fail.
Relative to the concept, I mean. I should probably clear that up.
You're right, underpowered might be the wrong word. But damn it, I wanted the V12 from the concept!
A stunning car, hobbled by a relatively underpowered engine. Although it still managed to hold the record for the highest production car top speed for a while…
I'm younger than him, and I beat my teammate last time I was at the track. Take that, Seb.
