I agree with you, it is not rocket science at all. It is, however, something that requires effort on part of the parent. It is that effort that I was referencing in preparing to parent a mixed race child; being able to provide that safe space for one's child to seek solace.

Preparation? In the physical care of a child, there is no difference. I am speaking in terms of supporting the child's identity.
