Nav Canada is funded by “publicly traded debt and service charges to aircraft operators.” No government funds are used. Works for me.

It might be time to make ATC a private, non-profit corporation like Nav Canada. We could also re-privatize the TSA while we’re at it.

I used to have a 1st gen Volt and have a GMC Sierra, and have noticed the same thing. I used to get cut off in the Volt a lot. I had the Volt for the same reason as you - I got it used for cheap.

We did that on Filbert one night in a rental GM “dustbuster” minivan with 7 people aboard. One person almost threw up when we went back and did it a second time!

For something like that I pay in cash. Not for this one though.

It’s not bad. Their dealership/paperwork fee is high IMHO ($495), but they seem to be pretty fair on pricing their used cars.

Many dealers around me are moving to a fixed-price buy-online model. My daughter was recently in the market to replace her car with a newer used car. The dealer we went to has several brands and all are connected, so for example her sales person worked at the Honda dealer but she bought a used Toyota from the sister

My ex-wife bought one of those new except it had the maroon interior. I don’t remember anything major going wrong with that car, and she put 200k miles on it before buying a newer Camry. The only annoyance was the old “mouse motor” shoulder belts. She’s owned 3 more Camrys since then (last year she traded her 2002 V6

I had a ‘64 Corvair that would blow enough exhaust through the heating system that turning the defroster on would see the windshield slowly turn black. You drove that car with a window cracked open.

Having owned 75% of a Jalopnik wagon (brown silver VW TDI sport wagon with manual), when it was bought back I moved to a Volvo V60 T6. No manual but still an entertaining wagon.

In NH they do check them before giving them out but every so often a good one slips through. The NH State prison inmates (“Correctional Industries”) make our license plates (with our motto “Live Free or Die” on them, rubbing some salt in the wound there); an apocryphal story I heard from a DMV worker is if the inmates

Thank goodness they are dead. I had a 1995 Cirrus that I bought new for commuting. It ate BCMs (I went through 3 in 4 years), and when the BCM died, the wipers would stop working (inevitably during a rain storm.) The A/C stopped working and all they could figure out is some sensor behind the dash was telling the

It’s crazy. I got the “fancy Chevy” GMC because it was a leftover ‘15 and it was cheaper than the then-new ‘16 Silverados, even with my GM family discount! I use it for my job and it replaced a 2002 Silverado.

Heck, my ‘15 Sierra 1500 4wd is dwarfed by the height of some of the newer trucks. I was parked next to a brand-new F-150 at a meeting the other night and man, it’s -big-.

Reverse: My parents had a ‘64 Corvair which I drove as a kid and I’ve owned a couple of other Corvairs. Screw Ralph Nader and his hatchet job on a pretty decent car for the time.

That is one of the ugliest body kits in the history of the world.

They remind me a bit of the basket weaves that came on my E39 BMW. That’s not a bad thing.

1st gear: As another commenter mentioned, der TrumpenFührer’s insane tariff posture is melting down the whole economy.

As the Han now go after the Uighur population to make them non-people.

and this is the Cultural Revolution part 2.
