Nav Canada is funded by “publicly traded debt and service charges to aircraft operators.” No government funds are used. Works for me.

It might be time to make ATC a private, non-profit corporation like Nav Canada. We could also re-privatize the TSA while we’re at it.

I used to have a 1st gen Volt and have a GMC Sierra, and have noticed the same thing. I used to get cut off in the Volt a lot. I had the Volt for the same reason as you - I got it used for cheap.

We did that on Filbert one night in a rental GM “dustbuster” minivan with 7 people aboard. One person almost threw up when we went back and did it a second time! 

For something like that I pay in cash. Not for this one though.

It’s not bad. Their dealership/paperwork fee is high IMHO ($495), but they seem to be pretty fair on pricing their used cars.

Many dealers around me are moving to a fixed-price buy-online model. My daughter was recently in the market to replace her car with a newer used car. It’s crazy. I got the “fancy Chevy” GMC because it was a leftover ‘15 and it was cheaper than the then-new ‘16 Silverados, even with my GM family discount! I use it for my job and it replaced a 2002 Silverado.

Heck, my ‘15 Sierra 1500 4wd is dwarfed by the height of some of the newer trucks. I was parked next to a brand-new F-150 at a meeting the other night and man, it’s -big-.

Reverse: My parents had a ‘64 Corvair which I drove as a kid and I’ve owned a couple of other Corvairs. Screw Ralph Nader and his hatchet job on a pretty decent car for the time. 

That is one of the ugliest body kits in the history of the world.

They remind me a bit of the basket weaves that came on my E39 BMW. That’s not a bad thing.
