Viper ACR-X from the third generation. Race car edition Viper without any nannies except for ABS. Whoever got this around the Nurburgring in 7:03 is superhuman.

Thanks for following up!

I genuinely have no idea what the things in that person’s response meant.

Well yea I mean in context 4000hp is ridiculous. Of course the engine on a cruise ship creates some massive power, but in what was a stock Corvette, getting something to put out that kind of performance is wild. People are freaking out on me here, I’m just genuinely amazed at what is capable with a V8 and 2 huge

Anything over 1500hp is nuts

Soooooo nothing can handle it easily? That’s like saying I can squat 400lbs if you ignore blowing out a knee mid-rep

I understood 0/3 of those sentences.

4000hp is honestly ridiculous. How is anything strong enough to handle that?

I agree, just frustrates me that they didn’t at least hire Rossi so I can feel like I’m cheering for an American at some level.

Yes but Ferrari is unequivocally Italian.

I am happy about this because it at least represents America’s presence, but the only American thing about this team is Gene Haas’s money. The team is almost entirely British, except for the Italian team principal. The chassis and power unit are Italian, the drivers are French and Mexican. The cars were built in a

The LaFerrari is heavier than a P1 and they just bolted pads to the carbon tub and called them seats. Not luxurious at all.

It’s not about vision, it’s about the reality of contemporary technology.

Also, are you comparing an Aston Martin hybrid hypercar with a cell phone?

1. Hybrid - Given. Probably a KERS system?

Great point. I don’t see why such a high MSRP though. The WRX starts at $26,595, has more power than that, AWD, and functional utility. Interior bits are roughly the same as the BRZ too. If this hypothetical vehicle price-matched with the WRX, I would 100% buy one. That is exactly what I was looking for with my last

That steering wheel, shifter, engine, suspension, manual box...several more parts I imagine...are showing up everywhere in GM’s lineup. All 5 of those are found in this, the Vette, and the CTSV. Basically 3 very different packagings for some major components.

I’ve been waiting for this for so long. Soooo pumped for this.

I am going to meet Jason Torchinsky and my life will never be the same again. I’m outrageously stoked. Jason, first round of blinker fluid is on me.

How big is the pumpkin? Are the seeds still in it?

I really do think COTA (outside of their Twitter) is poorly run. They need to make the website a lot better as you mentioned, increase transparency for HPDEs that charge a ton of money, open up the track occasionally for track days that don’t cost a ton of money in order to attract the local enthusiasts that don’t
