And it’s not just that his actions were beyond monstrous. They were stupid. Even if you’re a psychopath and you don’t care about your wife and kids at all, why wouldn’t you just leave? Why would you kill them all and risk getting caught and executed/spending your life in prison? To get out of paying alimony/child

I do not understand how people get enjoyment out of these kinds of shows. it’s kind of fucked up how people are getting entertainment out of actual people being murdered.

add this to my growing list of “interesting documentaries that are WAY too heavy to watch knee-deep in a pandemic and possibly democracy-killing election cycle”.

It’s a strange wording (the article title, not yours) to say one “enjoyed” a movie like Requiem for a Dream. Respected, moved by, yes, but not really “enjoyed”.

For me, its probably Schindler’s List, My Beautiful Laundrette, and God’s Own Country. I watched SL in like 9th grade because my history teacher gave us the assignment “watch a holocaust movie” for homework. There’s a scene where they’re forcing the prisoners to build the camps and this woman, a jewish civil engineer

I would be fine living my life without being emotionally destroyed by Requiem for a Dream again. Amazing film but I can’t do that one again. I tried once years later and gave up about 25 minutes in. I could do it if forced, but not willingly. However, if you haven't seen it you should watch it once, but expect

I think Schindler’s List is a pretty obvious pick. It’s an important movie that I’m glad I saw. But it’s so depressing that it’s really hard to re-watch.

I remember 10 years ago, while working at the dollar store and wondering who these idiots are buying a $1 test. I mean coming they can’t be accurate at that price.

also posted video of last night’s Times Square protest on Facebook, writing “Someone tell me does this look anywhere near peaceful at all? Law Enforcement supporters being attacked by BLM protestors.”

Fast food workers have to deal with jerks daily, but they don’t go around murdering people.

True Story. I haven’t lived back there for ages and I’d forgotten about this classic Passive-Aggressive Driving Trait.

“Minnesota nice” = passive aggression at its finest.

Civil forfeiture laws are due process. It’s just that the process is rigged and should be outlawed.

Do the cops you know talk about the “bad apples” in their precinct? I guarantee they know exactly who they are. Do they report them? No? Then they’re part of the problem.

I have PTSD and I was threated with a noise citation from a cop because I was crying too loud after having a flashback and it bothered the neighbors. They didn’t give a fig newton about my health but he told me to keep the noise down.

This sort of bullshit is why I support the idea of settlements in lawsuits against police forces be taken from their operating budget and/or pension funds. Let’s see how many multi-million dollar settlements get levied against the PD’s retirement funds before they decide not getting rid of bad cops will cost them

Civil forfeiture laws need massive reform throughout the nation. The only time property should be taken by the state is when the person owns the property, is used in the commission of the crime, AND that person is convicted of the crime.  Also, the crime must be a big time felony.

Take it away, Tracy:

I guess this is just meaningless now:

How do you even breath while deep throating Uncle Sam like that?
