This is funny. This car doesn't interest me at all. I recognize that others like it, but that isn't really making any impact on me this morning. To me, this is a Mercedes that's in the middle period of being not old enough to look good and not new enough to look good, and it's got a weird red interior and an automatic

Oh. My. God.

Whoa, apparently not! I'm quite surprised.

The people back you by a hair, but I wouldn't be seen driving a Superbird, as much as I admire and respect them.

How could anyone leave this out in the cold? It's such a boyhood dream . . .

How did almost every commenter miss the point of this article?

Nice.

You're right, Mercedes would never have allowed it. Just a hypothetical I guess.

You could do a spec series with friends! Sounds fun. I like the Mustang too though.

I agree with your point about copyrights protecting a company's profits, but I always wonder what to do in these cases. I think this should have been licensed so that they got a share of his profits.

This has been my favorite Volvo and overall one of my favorite cars for a long time, even before I knew it had this much power. The guy did a spectacular job with it and it's something I'd love to own, even if it's a few orders of magnitude out of my price range.

Why did you smash cars that ran? What was the fundraiser for?

1. Public use is not "personal use."

Very interesting!

Ever heard of intellectual property?

I hope they do!

Here it is with new suspension, a hood from the junkyard that I painted, and some dumb tint removed.

This is a picture of my first car, the day I bought it for $980. It's a 1990 Golf GL, 2-door, Wolfsburg. It's been a few years now and it's still my daily (my only car). When I bought it, the shifter was a spoon in a bowl of soup, and the brake lights were constantly on, but I've gotten it mostly figured out.

Those are cool cars! I saw two brown ones parked outside the junkyard the other day - one of them drifted around a turn on the way in!
