Why not?

Could we take a poll sometime, of Jalopnik visitors? Maybe it's been done (?).

I am an old man.

Early Golfs and Jettas - I almost never see Mk2s with automatics.

We had a B5 A4 and it was a maintenance nightmare. Value dropped from $10K to $4K in a few years while simultaneously costing us almost as much in maintenance.

I think Prototype is the key word.

Because making fiberglass molds is so awful . . why 3D printing for an entire car? And this took 15 years?!

Fuck this rank chunk of shit. Fuck it to hell. Pure disappointment.

I'm not sure if you're the one to ask, but wouldn't the ideal traction be just before the wheel slips/spins?

I drive a 1990 Golf (Wolfsburg) with the 8V motor and I can tell you that this car is overpriced. It's cool, and very tossable, and probably a lot of fun to drive (for such a gutless ride), but it's not with $4,700.

Flower vase.

Catch and release?

The brand is not dead. They will still be DMCs and they will be new cars, regardless of the ownership.

They're making cars again.

Wow. Those were not my favorites by any measure.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of 55 mph, but it sure does save gas.

You're so right, that's a great ad.

This was my dream car for a long time, in this configuration. It's such a timeless design, both aggressive and stately.
