@LaComtesse: Wait, wait, wait. On our playground, you couldn't be Ariel unless you had red hair. As I lived in a predominantly Italian community, this was problematic (unless my red-haired sister was around, but she hated the little mermaid). So, we played dolphins and orcas instead.

@LaComtesse: On our playground, we started making up our own colors. There may have been mauve, neon green and chartreuse power rangers, but I was the orange ranger.

@Dorisaurus: I love the LXD. I am such a geek for dance, but the choreography is fantastic. Robot Love Story is brilliant.

@BytheSea: It's sad that it's an unpopular opinion, though. Although it may be held by a lot of incoming female students, when I was a freshman, it was a shameful thing to admit. More vocal students who were upset that they had been put on a single gender floor complained at every chance: "Who CHOOSES to be on a

@solaana: Better. I love the movie, but the book just...it is well-paced, funny and filled with fridge brilliance.

@wtfox?!: I have tried to incorporate that word into my daily vocabulary. :D

@thenewmrssalazar: Recently, I haven't been able to find a cami that doesn't have a shelf bra cut a cup size too small for me. If I go a size up, I look like I am drowning in material. So, I wear the smaller of the two, but this means I have a weird uniboob until the cami rides down and hello, girls! As silly as the

@MelissaMahoney Misses MizJenkins: This. I saw the commercial last year and considered buying some. Ultimately, I decided not to spend $20 on a tit-kerchief I can make myself, but my perma-cleavage and I do think the idea is good.

@CoffeeBlood: If you ever find yourself in Atlanta, the center for puppetry arts has a permanent muppet exhibit: [puppet.org]

@chelabelle: That is one aspect that sounds absolutely fascinating about HG. In Battle Royale, nothing is broadcast until the end of a game—the public does not even know a game has taken place until the winner is announced, and the announcement of that winner means that 41 of her classmates are dead: the kids played

@SlayBelle: Exactly. And I think a lot of teens and young adults might find that they like Lord of the Flies, The Running Man, Battle Royale or any of the other novels, movies and myths brought up.

@ramalamadingdong: Not arguing that there aren't similarities, but I do want to point out that BR is only televised in the English translation of the manga (and in fan-fiction). In the novel, film and Japanese version of the mange, one of the big points is that it is not televised until the end when the winner is

@solaana: Try The Twelve Kingdoms by Fuyumi Ono. Girl finds out she is the king of a land in an alternate universe, has unicorn advisor and big-ass sword. (It's better than it sounds. One warning, though: the first novel is very good, but translations of the sequels are poorly edited.)

@wednesdayam: Ha, I just wrote on Battle Royal above. If you haven't already, check out the original novel, too. It's massive, but fairly quick to digest. The author is Koushun Takami.

I am interested in reading the books, and Katniss sounds like a great female protagonist, but I really, really, really wish that the author and fans would own up to the undeniable similarities with some of Stephen King's earlier works and Battle Royale, a novel, manga series and movie with a fairly huge cult following

Tor has several fantastic series on their blog already for authors and artists: [www.tor.com]

@ShrikirtiRaven: Oh, we still keep in touch. She was one of the best roommates I had in college, if not the.
