To the best of my memory, I have never been caught. I highly suspect that I have had roommates who have just been too polite to mention the buzzing in the shower.

@Holly_: But most adorable is the term favored by my little brother when he was about 3: "Lady Pillows."

Yabbos!

@vikkitikkitavi:Eh, it's not my job to teach someone to accept rejection gracefully. I want to feel safe, and I want my girlfriends to feel safe. If that means grabbing her arm and telling some sketchball that we're together because he didn't get a clue when she walked away from him, then I'll do it.

@harumph: After I was raped, I joined a therapy group at a local rape crisis center. We kept in touch after the meetings ended, and one day at dinner started talking about SVU. It turned out all of us watched it religiously in reruns and new episodes.

@Lizaster: O.M.G. I just commented above. This is exactly what I did. I was such a little creeper in 4th grade.

@duckwise: We used it in computer class to learn about teamwork or something. They had four kids to a computer, and we all fought over who got to be the dad. One of my friends ended up "divorcing" her group and asked to be adopted by us.

@dogunderwater: Thank you. I don't have children, and it is hard for me to relate to her perspective here, but I am much less confused on that particular point. I know she has written before about feminism, but she has much more often written about women, health care and education—I took for granted that she

I was very confused by the post. I like Mai'a. I have been reading her blog ([guerrillamamamedicine.wordpress.com] for a while, and she has a wonderful voice. This post surprised me—especially when she claimed she is not a feminist. There is something strange about the whole thing.

YES! This is what I said as I watched the pilot with my parents. The show is awful, but it would be exponentially better if the two leads were romantic interests for one another and the ridiculous sub-plots with their respective male interests were dropped completely.

@momogloo: Oh, this one is my favorite so far. Awesome.

@lalie (apologetic mess): But he came back at the end of their senior year of high school. There was a great scene where he and Minkus say that they were on the other side of the school. For the past three years.

@howdybeep (runs with monkey wrenches): Those were my favorite. I decorated my phone that my mom let me have when I was in fifth grade with them to show I was a serious dancer. In sixth grade, they were replaced with backstreet boys photo-stickers I made. Man, I bet my parents still have the phone somewhere.

@Cimorene: No worries. My first crush? Dmitri from Anastasia.

I think it is a shame that the parents are so oblivious, and it is awful that no one stopped to think, hmm, maybe we should keep the routine more appropriate for first graders. At the same time, dancers live in an entirely different world. When I was a kid in competitions, the studio and outside-the-studio were very

@chamomile: It's okay, I imagined the same thing thanks to Neil Gaiman' deliciously disturbing short story.

@whatsername: I love you. I wish I could promote this comment, but you'll have to make due with my love and admiration for anyone that can reference Supernatural in a thread about a rom-com.
