Going with the obvious

Because Suzuki Swift.

Good God that second black and white quattro coupe cutaway had the engine so far ahead of the front axle I was practically yelling at the screen for the engineer to stop. But I was decades too late.

Cutaway of my own car. ^_^

And I thought this was already proven by Mr. Harrell.

Ridiculous power, but these ocean-going editions run very low RPM!

A V60?? Holy shit. How much horsepower does an engine like that put out?

Isn't this exactly what they call a 'gentleman driver' at Le Mans? This tradition is by no means new.

Ken Block is a bit of a different story IMO. Kenny from the Blok isn't necessarily trying to make a name for himself as a skilled racer. He's doing things because that's what he wants to do.

He was "wildly" successful in Rally America because his team's budget was "wildly" in excess of the other teams in that series. Essentially, he always had superior equipment. In the WRC all the top teams have big budgets and as a result his driving was exposed.

You're correct. He even says this himself. He made his money, and he like doing rally. So that's what he does with his free time. It's a hobby to him. He just happens to get to do it with the best in the world.

Soon the tech boys will regard the steering wheel the same way they regard the manual transmission. The 'why steer/shift/brake/accelerate manually if the computer is so much faster/more efficient' sentiment.

Probably not since donuts mean additional stress on gearbox, clutch etc.. Vettel did donuts when his title was quite safe

Vettel wins at everything, even legal matters, end of story.

Caves are still discovered in this region. There is no telling just how much underground erosion exists in the entire region.

The largest known cave network in the world is located just outside of Bowling Green, Mammoth Caves. Only reason I know that is that on a trip to Kentucky I visited both the caverns and the museum on the same day.

Kentucky is FULL of sinkholes. Everywhere. I live in Lexington and have a small, 12" diam., sinkhole in my back yard. I fear, just like an iceberg, I am only seeing the tip.

Yup. Well done. That was the closest call I have seen on WRC in 10+ years. You're supposed to have someone a couple hundred yards up the road slowing down the next car. The interval is only a few minutes between cars. That's why you see the SAFETY MAN in the first clip constantly looking back.
