Not good.. I hope the spectator is okay and that the rest of the rally can go on as planned.

He did rather well at the tracks where he had raced before. Most of the other drivers in World Rallycross has raced at those tracks for years and thus have more directly relevant experience.
Don’t think we will see Block in these cars. He’s fully focused on World Rallycross now.
Well they are obviously not on the Monte Carlo entry list. Andreas Mikkelsen has in interviews been positive that they might run the Polo in Sweden next month, something Al-Attiyah doesn’t really deny in the Motorsport.com interview.
Excactly why alpinestars was confused.
It was a bit tongue-in-cheek, since there’s other sports where you have your World Series and similar even if it’s US only.
He’s more a US Rallycross Champion. Which to some means World Champion.
Funny thing is that the Andreas Mikkelsen news today didn’t excactly deny the rumours that we will see the 2017 VW Polo WRC in action. He will enter in a Skoda R5 in Monte Carlo, but the Sweden entry is dependent on what funds he (and the team) can get. News link in Norwegian below.
Yes. The guy inherited it from his grandpa.
I drove this Galant 4x4:
I think it’s a good thing that WRC cars sound better than an F1 car.
Red Bull TV will reportedly show daily recaps and a live stage on saturday. Very important for the WRC to become more available, especially now that they’re becoming even more spectacular. I hope the Red Bull coverage is in addition to what we already get on WRC+ (with the power stage and so on), and not instead of.
Well Toyota won the WRC Manufacturer Championship in 1993 and 1994, and the driver’s title in 90, 92, 93 and 94 with three different drivers. It’s a long time ago, but they were very successful in rallying.
It is obvious that Ogier and Mäkinen didn’t have the same ambitions for next year. Ogier wants a fifth title - Mäkinen wants to develop his car for a title in 2018. M-Sport has been in the sport for about 20 years, and has produced rally winning cars all that time.
What’s your source on that info?
I have a feeling that Hyundai will at least be manufacturers champions next season.
Now only two of the very experienced WRC drivers lack a confirmed drive next year: Andreas Mikkelsen and Mads Østberg.
Most likely in the Privateers Cup in 2016-spec cars though..
That car looks so good that I nearly don’t care if it’s driven by Ogier, Mikkelsen, Østberg, Tanak, Evans, Camilli or Bertelli.
They should paint the air intake like that. At least one of the privateers/pay drivers should.
