Of course they can.

Yep he’s doing Dakar with Peugeot, along with some other desert rallying. The rallycross rumors come from an interview with Petter Solberg this week, where he said that he probably doesn’t have to change series to get a new chance to beat Loeb. Nothing confirmed though.

This is Dani Sordo, and you pretty much has to be this good to get a factory seat in the WRC. Since this is a test event he ran the same bit of road several times, so you would expect him to get it right after a couple of runs.

Already answered. Loeb is rumored to be in the Hansen Peugeots in WorldRX, btw.

You know what is the only Finnish Chevrolet?

Tommi Mäkinen won WRC events in both a Subaru and a Mitsubishi. Rather than hating the other, we should do like him and applaud the making of two great cars.

I was talking about the rallycross cars. They had different rules, and allowed a larger restrictor than the rally cars you linked to. Per Eklund had a 700 hp Saab at one point in the 90’s. The rallycross cars you see in World Rallycross and Global Rallycross today have around 600 hp, and are as close as we’ll get to

It’s a good thing then, that the new Group A based cars were just as powerful, but with more sophisticated suspension. It also induced a golden age for rallycross, with Martin Schanche, Kenneth Hansen, Jean Luc Pailler, Ludvig Hunsbedt, Tommy Kristoffersson and Eivind Opland (to mention some).

Since I can’t edit for some reason: It was announced today that Jonas Andersson will join Pontus Tidemand, so the part about “isn’t quite clear who yet” can be skipped.

Are you doing something on the whole Citroën leaves WRC and Mads Østberg goes to Ford but hasn’t heard of his new teammate and suddenly loses his co-driver to someone else but it isn’t quite clear who yet and has to search around the world for a world class codriver that preferably can speak Norwegian/Swedish so he

Juha Kankkunen is one of the most impressive drivers in the WRC. Not only does he have four world titles with three different manufacturers, but the amount of time between his first world rally in 1979 to his last factory outing in 2002 for Hyundai is staggering. To put that into context, Sebastien Loeb “only” has 10

Though I haven’t seen any old onboards of Juha, he did early in his career have Brit Fred Gallagher as a codriver. That might have made him reacting more (or as) easily to English than Finnish in terms of codriving, but not sure which language Juha Piironen used. This particular video is also after a couple of years

100 of the Volvo 340 V.I.P. was sold in 1980-81. It seemingly was black paint with gold stripes and aluminium wheels, added to what was already included in the GLS.

Subaru Forester Rally Edition.

Seems like they once again designed the wagon first.

What young, female racers need is a role model. Someone that pushes boundaries. I’m not sure if Susie Wolff or any of the other F1 testdrivers could be that role model, and I’m inclined toagree on Michele Mouton being one to look more up to.

That is only if you add a raving mad dictator that demands that everyone should have equal opinions as well.

This is all about giving everyone equal opportunities in their life. Regardless of income, location or even race. Equal opportunities when it comes to school, healthcare and social care.

Yes, the Volvo center console doesn’t deserve all the hate. A very good looking design that is easy to use and felt really good and solid ten years ago.
