Good choice, especially since the Sierra was a bestseller in Europe 20 years ago.

Oh, I saw some rumours that you were getting the plug-in, at least soon with a gas engine (more likely now..). Should check more next time. Still, that doesn’t seem to be a criteria for the list?
Getting better MPG than #1, and still quite fun. I rarely say this, but the list is missing something.
Button has also been linked to rallycross, as his father John was a successful rallycross driver in the seventies.
Volvo V60 Plug-in hybrid. It’s a diesel Volvo wagon, with AWD, over 300 hp and an MPG of 124.
Add a couple of doors, and this is the new V90 wagon. In real life, that is as good as it gets.
Also: Rallycross
The auto manufacturer economy seems to be a lot better now than what it was in ‘07-’10. Ramping up power and aero won’t necessarily add too much to the budgets, but new active differentials and differences in suspension will. Hopefully it will become a lot more spectacular as well, earning back the money in visibility…
Yes, that has also been part of the problem. The Loeb era was particularly affected by this, with almost no drivers from the same generation having similar opportunities. Petter Solberg decided to stay in a Subaru that was just getting worse compared to the Citroën and the Ford. Markko Märtin couldn’t continue after…
I doubt that the fight for the drivers title in WRC will be any entertaining until 2017 arrives. New regulations and Toyota should add a lot to the mix.
Yes they are, Mads turned for a gap on the right side of the road. Don’t know why he hasn’t released a video, but it might be due to the video cutting there or excessive language from Mads and Jonas.
Well it obviously seems that either the car or the truck drove faster than it should, and that it wasn’t space for them to pass each other at that point. The fact that Mads managed to turn for the gap on the wrong side of the road says to me that they were doing an appropriate speed.
The Scania Van Hool Exqui.City. A 24 m double articulated bus with a gas hybrid engine. Used in lots of narrow cities in Europe.
At least there was a 90’s version:
Tragic.
Fiat still makes the Strada pickup, both in normal and extended cab (pictured). The Ducato van is also available with a flatbed.
Yep, these are the utilitarian versions. There are luxury versions of both available. Even if they were luxuried up, they would still look very much like appliances though, at least compared to the F-150 that was designed to be a truck to begin with.
Citroën. Even though it would have the bed in front of the cabin.
I guess it’s a question of bringing them to the US...
My impression is that Peugeot is going further and further into the comfort-department, especially with their non-performance models. The 2008 is a direct competitor to the Cactus size-wise, but since these cars are so different they don’t really compete with each other.
Seems like French cars have really stepped up…
