I remember the Shisa cartoon signs, also awesome. This picture was taken near some canal construction on Kumejima island. No flying manta rays in the immediate area.

As someone who's purchased a car parked in someones driveway that was not for sale, this is what I've learned:

He has one and we don't ... I think the face is justified.

These are amazing, however this adorable construction sign is from my trip to Okinawa:

Yeah same feel, but you aren't constrained to specific planes so the steering can get squirrely.

GM is very proud of the cylinder deactivation on these engines. That is the reason the fuel mileage is so good. The transmission just adds to it a bit.

Nuts, my cubed rally racer suggestion didn't make it!

Cubed Rally Racer is fun,

Yup pretty sure it's going to be fuel cell. GM recently closed their fuel cell plant and moved it back to Michigan for a fresh start. (assuming this is general knowledge/my work isn't reading this...)

Did the U.S. not get the swift+? They were available up here in Canada, I just assumed they were. (just checked the Wikipedia article about the Aveo and it says it was just Canada)

I feel like Suzuki should be in here for two reasons. 1 the Samurai was actually a pretty good little SUV, but with the misleading roll-over reports it had a lot of bad press. 2 for not importing a great car:

My wife's face isn't blurred out in a Google street view shot. I'm assuming it's an algorithm that detects and blurs faces and her hand was covering a small part of her face. Is there someone she can contact to get her blur on?

Yeah, not my style with that one! (I think he's going to get sick ... and I hope his band doesn't get electrocuted playing in waist deep water).

Yesterday I was listening to "The Tragically Hip" and it got me thinking. That band is quintessentially Canadian. Even if you don't like them, I imagine people from here would still agree that they represent the Canada in Canadian music .. but no one outside of Canada likes them.

Transmission was ok. Slipped out of 4th sometimes .........

That's awesome. I love the pickup style. When I got my FJ I tried to find the pickup style but they were rarer and cost too much more to justify right now.

I chose a 323 GTX over an all-trac. I made the wrong decision. I spent more time fixing the GTX than driving.

I imagine it's magnetic forming. Works very well on aluminum and copper. Wouldn't be CF. Even though carbon conducts really well it needs to be in a pure form, not weaved and layered with resin.

That's a beautiful charge air cooler! I wonder how it's built. Likely magnetic forming.
