This picture is amazing. Anybody know what car that is?
It's been a long day, you've seen some violence and possibly blood as well on the road. The police had questions, you felt bad for the injured, wasn't sure how to help, but it's over. You'll probably be charged up on adrenaline so it's best to get some rest if you can. A good IPA is the best way to start.
And you're concerned that over-politicizing the Fisker debacle will led to less future public investment in worthy projects.
This should be mentioned in the article for context. Embarrassing.
The shocked sad face of a confused Vespa thinking about it's new home...
I'm trying to figure that out as well...
I was under the impression that a lot of stage rally series don't allow convertibles or removable hardtops. I know the Canadian Rally series didn't allow it a couple of years back.
Does this count?
Around Toronto I just paid around $4.6. It changes frequently. Not so long ago I paid $5.7/gal to fill up with premium.
It's ok. I don't think I did a good job explaining my thoughts on this based on the responses I got from people. I'm not going to get into an argument on the internet either. If you are interested do some research on the deaths associated with the DAKAR rally specifically, and the reaction the race has on those…
I understand all that. Check out the deaths not associated with drivers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dakar_Rally_fatal_accidents
There's a category for support vehicles, although I'm not sure if they were entered in that. They do try to keep up as much as possible with the race car. I'd like to believe that it was just a road traffic accident ... but big deadly crash driving through a town (I might be wrong about it being through a town)...
I love Dakar as much as the next guy but how many innocent people need to die in the name of "fun". It's very sad. It's not always "Spectators" either, sometimes it's just people who don't realize there's a bunch of people recklessly driving through their village. Similarly, I'm a massive fan of the African rallies…
Everyone arguing against this are using too wide of a paint brush. Sure using a car not designed with performance in mind as a benchmark will show gains, however I think you would be surprised with what automakers will do to make a "performance" car perform at their peak. Like Eddiy Owen I'm with a tier-1 and also…
As someone who designs OEM parts I find it fascinating/frustrating that people think that aftermarket parts are better suited for the car than what I'm designing for it (using some pretty amazing tools). Especially since my parts aren't always designed to be up front and on display in all their shiny aluminum glory…
I'm not sure what video you are speaking to directly, but I'm assuming you're referring to sputtering when the car's off throttle, which would be the anti-lag system.
Probably more dong than I needed to see...
