I’ll tell you what it means. It means I am finally more of a feminist than all these women-folk. FINALLY, us white, males really do own everything now!! Mwhahahahaha. {cough, wheeze, cough} hahahahahahahaha...

The most logical conclusion to which I arrived is that they recognize that facial recognition is A Thing and that pictures on the Internet never go away, so by hiding their faces they can hopefully prevent embarrassing questions in future job interviews.

The following is absolutely not a criticism in any shape, manner, or form. I am more guilty of the following hypocrisy than most. It just genuinely fascinates me how we deal with this sort of stuff.

I care, but when studios don’t pay attention to the market and release their product in a restricted manner, I feel a whole lot less sympathetic about it. I’d be fine paying a bit for a product I want to see, but I’m not going to go get an whole HBO subscription for GoT which is the only place I can find it legally. I

I don’t even see the Matrix code anymore. All I see is... blonde, brunette, redhead...

I’m in my mid-40s and those restrictions have been in place as long as I can remember.

I agree. I hate that people keep using the term “forced” here. No, this is not forced labor. Forced labor would be if they were dragged to the stage.Working under threat of termination is not force, it is...well...pretty standard. If I refused to represent a client this way, I would bet money that my job would be on

Yup. My job does business with clients I’m not a fan of, but that doesn’t mean I get a choice in the matter.

Am I the only one who thinks this is vaguely reasonable? Like, they’re job is to do the shows, and if they don’t want to do this particular show... that’s a fine choice to make but it’s incompatible with the job for apparent reasons. What am I missing?

I can sympathize, but at the end of the day it’s a job like any other. If we got a contract from Donald Trump at my job, and I refused to work on the account, I’d be fired. Sometimes standing up for what you believe in requires sacrifice.

Sorry but not sorry at all. Burqas are meant to demean women and subject them to misogynistic rules. Women get punished for getting raped in societies that make them wear burqas. Burqas represent truly awful male dominance and subjugation.

“That Russian aircraft carrier is under attack!”
“Negative, sir; it just does that.”
“Oh.”

And we want to quibble about helping these people?

That you have to ask this highlights some serious educational issues in your country.

They’re both countries where women haven’t reached their full potential.

Lena, make sure to stretch before patting yourself on the back so much.

I’m going to be annoying but there is a reason there are food safe laws. I’m not saying this woman’s ceviche is going to make you sick, but selling food that you make in your standard kitchen cannot be guaranteed safe.

They wanted to see Sara Palin’s house.

So the guy perpetrates the violence and then blames the woman for not preventing it? (Checks all of human history.) YUP! CHECKS OUT!

I finally had time to read the Upload VR post by the devs (linked by Cecilia) and noted that they didn’t just tweak their game to address the issue, they’ve also made the code publicly available so that others can customize the feature to add into their own games as well.
