Ticket sales were fine overall, the problem was the cost. His fee was significantly higher than the last tour but he’s not at a point in his music where venues can up the price of tickets to match.

No one will likely read this, still in the greys after many years of being polite (while total a-holes seem to get out of the grey, go figure).

Yup. Prolonged high G on the brain can cause burst blood vessles, stroke and even death. These guys are idiots, even with paramedics standing by there had no reliable way to stop the spinning if anythng went wrong.

Did you just copy this whole story from Reddit? I litereally just read this a few days ago there with exactly the same content.

I was lucky enough to work with Brett as lighting designer for a show in Hong Kong when he was doing a solo tour. He was super super nice, really fun to work with :)

According to the the imgurl link, the video has now proven to be fake.

Not Space: Near Space, Edge of Space, Space Like Environment, Stratosphere.

Although you suggest wires, likely the podium mics are wireless too, with transmitter packs inside the podium.

Same! I don’t even care if its only microbes. Any life on another body means there is likely to be life all over the universe, disproving the ‘rare earth’ hypothesis.

Now if only I could play Darknet - the VR game that’s just like hacking in the Sprawl Trilogy - on it!

and even if you don’t you’ll probably be so old that the G-forces sustained during lift-off alone would kill you

Well, just because the article says he was trespassing doesn’t mean he actually was.

This is nothing new in the world of construction. I spent some time living on a protest camp in the UK where a new motorway was being built (I think Amreicans call them Highways).

Or they could exist right now, with the right equipment, but be at the other side of our galaxy and so any communication would take ~80,000 years each way.

Do people still buy DVDs? Here (Hong Kong) you can barely even buy a DVD player anymore, BluRay players cost about 40 US$.

That’s correct. All the truss is aluminium and it has a fair bit elasticity (which is where it gets it’s strength from). Nowerdays almost all touring truss is made that way as it has to be setup and dismantled every day (so being light it’s easier to handle) and steel is way to heavy to hang in most venues as the

Fairly complex to design this type of setup that can easily be installed in a very short time in a variety of venues and continue to work reliably on a tour where it gets thrown into a truck every night.

This is done with a gantry crane and a set of moving trolleys holding hoists. Nothing too complex.

Sadly not. I’m still in the grey. Oh well, it’s only been 2 years, maybe in another 2!
