Major consent issues, to the point of rape on several occasions. Yes there was a contract, which she actually never signs! He also prevents her seeking advice from friends on the contract, and threatens her with "if you don't do this we are finished" - all very abusive.

I have made a conscious decision to keep this out of their hands

The fact is, it's a love story.

Once again Jezebel continues its fangirl obsession with 50 Shades - A book series that shows a manipulative, emotionally and physically abusive relationship.

Basically the gist is that this guy needs his "submissives" in Olympian form because that's how crazy and violent his sex is.

Actually mics can start to smell really bad if not well looked after. On most there is a layer of foam behind the metal screen which can harbor all sorts of bacteria and other nasty things.

This! Those are some of the best BDSM fiction ever written, would be amazing as movies!

we can safely say that not everything about this movie will be bad

Absolutely. I am encouraging any who will listen to me to do this. This movie will be used by abusive partners to justify their actions, by abused women to excuse their partners behavior. This isn't OK. I am a huge advocate for kinky Sex, BDSM, anything that is sane, safe and consensual - this book & movie are are far

Please don't go to see this movie. It portrays a manipulative, abusive relationship. We can't have people watching this and thinking it's OK. We can't have abusive spouses using this as an excuse for their behavior, we can't have women forgiving manipulation, violence and rape because "it's OK in 50 Shades so must be

Sadly there is not just multiple rapes in the this book, but victim blaming and abuse apologies all over the place. There are many good breakdowns of the how and why of it online, search 50ShadesOfAbuse on Wordpress for a great chapter-by-chapter analysis.
