Seriously! Somebody please just put them (and us ) out of their misery!!!

Either this is an April Fool’s day joke, or HD’s marketing department is a bunch of baby boomers who give each other handies under the table. Who the fuck thought this was a smart thing?

Tactile controls.

A couple of months ago I saw a private sale Bolt pop up for $10k. Couldn’t get to it fast enough.  Not even sure what I would have done with it, but at that price it seemed risky NOT to buy it.

Imma let you finish but fuck your road trip. The car has to be comfortable for 95% of the use-cases and bigger is more comfortable. How much heavier is an Impala EV going to be over a bolt? Not that much, for a vastly increased capability at the expense of some range.

It can run a huge range, depending on how fast you want to charge and how far away from the panel your parking spot is. You could get it done pretty cheap at 16A level 2, because all that requires is the same 12/2 wire that runs most of your household outlets. At 16A a Bolt would charge basically overnight, up to 16

gahhh an Impala EV would be the dream.

I’m curious, what’s the approximate cost of putting a L2 charger in your house?

Because bigger is heavier and require even bigger batteries to have the same kind of range so the cars would cost more and still won’t be ideal to do road trips.

The ‘22 Bolt/EUV are the least expensive long range EVs (200+ miles) for sale in the US, have thermal management, good options, roomy interior full stop, but especially for being so small. Its a fantastic commuter car, and the newest look slightly less dorky.

If Toyota responds to American enthusiasts excitement and subsequent disappointment over Toyota building a legit performance car completely in house and then not selling it here in the form of the GR Yaris, by saying “Here! have another Toyobaru to go with your existing Toyobaru and Zupra!;” I will be convinced that

Years ago I negotiated an OTD price on our Hyundai. Trading in our current car wasn’t in the equation.

What’s keeping me from shitting all over this dealership?

Depends.

The trade-in is a separate transaction. They don’t need to see your trade-in to negotiate on the price of a car.

I totally agree that was terrible...but had she done it at a shady dealer pulling this stuff we might have been like “You know, she kinda has a point...”

That lady sucked though, because the Tim Hortons worker didn’t do anything to deserve that.

Also, worth mentioning that this s a potential tactic....a bit extreme but surely effective

username checks out.

Hide the keys is old school dealership bullshit.
