Totally understandable. I never trust a tape alone, especially for critical restores.

Tape still has its uses. It is cost-effective for compliance backups. Not to mention cost-prohibitive archive/legacy data. For backups you’ll actually restore from, there’s uh, everything better.

And make sure to get the GAP insurance from your insurance company instead of the finance office. You’ll save big time. I think I pay maybe a little over 10 bucks per 6 month term for my new Miata.
