Wasn’t part of the issue Microsoft’s stance on only allowing the servers to run on XBL/Azure?
Microsoft may have been first among current competitors, but I have distinct memories of playing 4X4 Evo on my Dreamcast with PC players over 56k dialup. I think Quake III could do so as well.

I mostly agree. I don’t think the C6 is ugly, but I like the C5 better. The C6 just felt like a refresh of the C5, with no soul, and by soul I mean no pop-up headlights.
Yeah, the new menu looks like ass. I guess they’re trying the touchscreen thing, but they don’t have a menu loaded onto it. Anybody who is not the driver can’t see shit.
