Most multinationals have a main holding company, then a subsidiary for each of most of their main markets. Sometimes these act more independently, sometimes they don’t. Often times, though, IPs are held by another subsidiary that just holds IPs. It’s a bit different in this case.

Not really. It’s currently the better tablet OS. Also, the desktop part of it works just as well as Windows 7, especially after Windows 8.1 Update 1. I can adapt to GUI changes without too much issue.

Please read my reply to chiefnoah. The reasons are well laid out, I think. I don’t even hate the operating system in its entirity. It’s just certain deal-breakers.
