This episode was fucking BRUTAL. I felt physically sick the longer that battle raged on. I almost (almost!) couldn’t even enjoy Ramsey’s comeuppance, that’s how terrible the battle made me feel.

People sure love Instagramming themselves in front of this statue and vista in KC:
Also, wtf is that dude even building/doing in there that takes FOUR FUCKING YEARS??! Is he doing construction in a blackhole that directly time-connects his duplex to 1750?
THAT MUGLER, THO…
I enjoyed reading all these stories! As a lawyer, I also found some of them rather endearing — a lot of salaried attorneys would LOVE to work 50-60 hours per week and get paid some/any extra $$ over that. The vast majority of lawyering is not NEARLY as glamorous and well-paid as tv makes it out to be :’(
Very true. Just thought I’d throw that theory out there! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, I kinda thought she had the general idea right but miscalculated on the smaller(?) details like the gut-stabbing.

That’s entirely possible. Just thought I’d throw it out there! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just curious, has io9 always had quite so much crossover with Kotaku? It seems like there’s been a definite uptick in video game posts on the io9 main page lately and I’m wondering if that’s due to some cross-posting policy change or if it’s always been that way and I just haven’t noticed…
Maybe she had a good plan, then just got a bit overconfident with it? (thus the unintended gut-stabbing which waylaid her for a bit?)
This was a comment re: Arya’s earlier behavior + her behavior in this ep. Meaning, her earlier “stupidity” in publicly buying that trip back to Westeros wasn’t so much stupidity so much as part of a specific plan to eliminate the threat of the Waif before leaving.

So I comment semi-regularly on io9 and ODeck and I’m un-grayed on OD but still grayed on the main site. Could I please get un-grayed here sometime in the next decade? I’m conscientious with my posts and I frequently read through other grayed comments to star things that will add to the conversation. Being un-grayed…
OH MY GOD, what if Arya got to Winterfell just in time to see Sansa and Jon die a la her late appearance at the Red Wedding??! I would die.
So I said this to someone else upthread…
This just occurred to me: what if Arya was skipping around Braavos willy-nilly cuz she knew the Waif would come for her, so she was trying to lure her into that dark room so she could use her blindness advantage against her (though the gut-stabbing probably wasn’t part of the plan)? Maybe she knew she wasn’t as good…

While I would totally love for Ramsay to eat it in the most gruesome, painful way possible, I’m betting he’ll actually survive his encounter with Jon & Co. — I think he’ll pull some sneaky BS trick and scam his way out just in the nick of time before losing the battle or something. 1) He’s not the type to sacrifice…
