Don't see what's so bad or harmful to let your daughter play video games in which the main character or playable character is a guy. I mean, I play JRPGs and I don't complain to (co)control Sophie, Colette or Tear. I can also remember playing as a girl in Pokemon Sapphire. Was fun :)

Oh for the love of Cloud Strife, do you know how many times they've made ports of FF1 and FF2? A LOT. I mean, they're very cheap about it - and to be honest, a game like FF Dimensions doesn't seem a hard game to make compared to high visual games on console level and even 3DS level.
