I think Disney did a venn diagram. Circle one is all of the households with a member under 5' tall. Circle 2 is the households with fantasy/sci-fi fanboys who have excess disposable income. They figured out that these two nearly disjoint circles represent 70% of households.  And they will be an easy sell.

There is nothing fundamental about the state of TV+ Content companies are exactly as good or as bad as their next deals. They don’t need to make a splash all at once.  Most of their subscribers have a year of free service before they have to make a decision.

Seems like a bad auction strategy.  He’ll make money, no doubt.  But it’s too much material at once, and doing it all in pieces does not allow someone to put together a collection of them in any meaningful way.
