followed the youtube link to the forum, which had the receipt. always ask for a receipt.
Speaking of spoilers... remember when the Audi TT first came out and was spoilerless? When he car was subject to high speeds the flowing design acted like an airplane wing and generated lift. There was a recall that added the little lip spoiler to the rear of the car to stop them from taking off.
Not sure how you’re just noticing this. They had an article on Jalop about this at least over a year ago.
Looks like it was gently lowered, which is definitely better than slamming it to the ground. Though I suspect that’s going to happen soon.
Do we know if it was lifted or if it was lowered?
Definitely one of the dumbest suspension mods I’ve ever seen.
Why in the world would this be a pet peeve?
I tried this repeatedly in our VW bug and it did nothing but grind the shit of the transmission.
If you see you’re about to be rear-ended, get off the brake and put the car in neutral. With less resistance to the impact you’ll be less injured inside the car.
FINALLY someone else is starting to notice this. It’s like they were told a few times to swing out wide before entering a small alley or garage or something and now they do this everywhere including turning into parking lots off big roads. I nearly got run off the road from someone doing this to me just to turn into a…
That’s a rock solid dad you have their. He knows where the true value is.
Sorry, I’m doing this wrong. All I can remember is this very good advice my dad gave me:
Well yeah, but they were nothing like the concept.
Speaking of WJs, one gentleman used some fake flooring from Home Depot to Wagoneer-ify his Grand Cherokee:
I always felt that a good chunk of this concept design language made it’s way into the Stealth. The spoiler is the only giveaway, but when I had my Stealth, I could see a LOT of this design in there.
Someone once tried to tell me the problem was glare. If glare from 2 bulbs at the bottom of my bumper that point immediately down at the road produce too much glare for you, you need to reconsider driving. It’s also technically illegal here to have them on when there’s no fog.
Not being able to see out of modern cars doesn’t help either. I get it, sensors and cameras are really cool and are getting cheaper, but if windows were designed to be seen out of rather than being minimized for safety and style reasons, then maybe people wouldn’t need so many damn sensors and cameras to not crash…
OMG, I have never witnessed someone using someone else’s vehicle to rest their stuff while they get in theirs.
People who touch random cars. Whether it’s brushing them while walking past them in a parking lot, putting their bags on the car beside them when opening their car at the mall, or any other situation involving you touching someone else’s car unnecessarily. So many of my friends do this, and it drives me insane.
