I worked at a BMW dealer from 2003-2005 in the detail department. I was amazed at how every car had orange peel, pretty bad, regardless of price. It looks like it hasn't changed, which is sad. I'm no Lexus fan but I have a feeling they do a better job at this.

235 definitely had more torque than 3.5L. normal 4.7 was 235/295 tq. HO 4.7 was used in the grand cherokee overland, and was 265/300tq iirc. It came with quadra-driveII only and ran a 15+ 1/4 mile. And iirc the HO 4.7 came out after the Prowler was discontinued, like 03 or 04.

E36 318cic auto trans with "sport package"?

Sry for late reply, just noticed it:

There was a great citroen DS ice rally car with studded paddle tires and weird louvres on the rear window, and crazy open exhaust and suspension. It was orange and super bad ass. I can only imagine it raging across the frozen tundra against a 2 stroke SAAB

It is almost bordering the airport property. There is that, and Opry Mills Mall just north of there on Briley Parkway. Depending on who is with you, both are a great way to spend 8 hrs. I lived right on the lake near there for a time, and worked at Dell which is on the airport property basically; I know the area

well, it was called the AEROSTAR. And it's competitor was the ASTRO. Maybe it was consistent with an ill-conceived space tie-in since soccer mom teacher astronaut was in the news when these were released.

We had a B Dodge van, a post-refresh 1998 2500 Ram Wagon. IT WAS THE GREATEST GODDAMN VAN, OR VEHICLE FOR THAT MATTER, EVER MANUFACTURED.

My dad and I are VCA members in the In./Ky. Region.

Yes!

I had to concentrate to actually see them as door handles.

That shift boot is a Crown Royal whiskey bag.

Prowler may look cheap, but as a platform team-designed all aluminum car with a rear transaxle, it was a great learning experience for Chrysler engineers and the company as a whole from a development perspective. Almost like a marketable R&D project, which it was. Viper and Prowler were concepts the public demanded,

FYI you are right about the 4.7 Howler, however, even Car & Drivers test showed that the 4.7 V8 Howler with a 5 speed manual was slower 0-60 than the later 253ish hp 3.5l V6 Prowler. It was like 6.7 vs. 5.9 seconds. Go figure huh.

On Vipers (at least similar to our family's 97 GTS), the skip shift window is from 12-19 mph. With 3.07 rear end gears and a long first gear, the V10 is turning less than 3000 in first (or thereabouts) at 20-25 mph.

HIRE BOB LUTZ AS A CONSULTANT. It's do or die.

Shouldn't this Rusky have slowed way the hell down when he saw the oncoming car in his lane followed by several cows near the road followed by more stopped/slowed traffic in the opposite lane followed by cows fucking towards the roadway.

GM has sent the NHTSA 1,100 (!) complaints of faulty taillights in the G6. There is no official recall for either vehicle, but now that they're under investigation, it could be coming quite soon.

The battery mod he is talking about is legal.

My dad has one, a 97 GTS. I only kept it buried in 4th once, up to about 4500rpm. I will never do that again. I think it was about 155 when I let up after my life started to flash before my eyes.
