“Jesus, Billy.”
“Jesus, Billy.”
———-Enjoy!
Among the, “innovations,” by the Reaganauts, ending the move to the metric system by the U.S. was one of their first. Losing a Mars satellite is just one of the most famous failures caused by this reactionary attempt to, “keep America American.”
Love, “The Bug Movie.” Minimalist acting, aka, three facial expressions per actor, contributes to its whole, it’s so bad it’s great feeling. Unintentional humor when a person is being torn in half by huge beetles, or set on fire, or being shredded just makes it better.
Looks like fun. Sometimes, fun is enough.
“C’mon, Bones! We got a case!”
It is normal in the western part of the state for people to own, “winter cars.” Basically, old, already-rusting-to-death beaters to keep their newer, nicer cars from the ravages of salt, salt, and more salt on the roads.
I bet it’s a steal, too, considering the prices on worn models.
Beat thing against wall. Twist skinny wires too much. Take thing apart for no logical reason. Whine when we break our toys. Repeat.
It’s a weird place that encourages weird stories.
Wow, really? Even a rubber bullet hitting the right spot will kill someone. A large metal ball non-lethal? I suppose right up to the point it smashes the side of someone’s head, or their throat, or their face, or the back of the neck, or ...
It’s all fun and security until someone pokes an eye out.
And those are the dubbed in, toned-down accents.
I look out my back door and see Superstition Mountain, the edge of the Superstition Mountains, where, depending on who you talk to:
Trainspotting was dubbed because the Scots accents are scarcely intelligible for all non-Scots. Our loss.
My ex did that. She didn’t drive, so I had to sign for the rental truck and off we went to her house. Nothing packed at all. Nothing. 10 hours later, I had to call the company to tell them we were needing the truck overnight, and for another day’s rental.
Why, yes. Glad Dick Portillo has had such great success, and maybe he’s calmed down a bit through the years, but in that moment, he was just being his namesake.
Just when you think things couldn’t get worse ... vampires.
Film.
