As a person currently looking for an early 00's Bentley Arnage, I say this with some amount of automotive grit as it comes to car ownership, this is a lousy car. If there were bad old days at Aston, you are looking at them square in the jaw. A guy I know who is a long time Aston guy told me that one of these nicely

Having had both my first in a Mazda RX8 until he turned 3, I get that space is a thing. I traded on a Manual trans CTS V Wagon, but that is obviously no longer an option. I would also suggest that you go to the Mazda store and check out the selection. They are lovely cars with great features at a decent price. If you

It is like the past ten years of Jason obsessively cooing over dreadful Eastern European designs was really all research for writing this article. Kudos to you sir for being the only Auto Journo who has been able to make sense of this doorstop.

Hmm? I had my GLi up to 135MPH once, and it was still pulling a bit. I regularly ran it over 115MPH, and off the line it pulled well up to redline, but yes quick in those days was not that quick.

Well that was not my experience over many, many, many interactions with 911s including one guy that we went five times in a row until he just gave up. The Gli was faster than its numbers presented, and I always believed that the horse power was understated, but whatever you want to believe.

I voted NP because I had an ‘88 GLI new as my first car, and there really is nothing like them any more. These weigh nothing, had the best brakes in any car I have ever owned, was faster than a Porsche back in the day, and the worst suspension of any car I ever owned, but hey it was pretty cheap.

No one ever saw Racer X and Graham Hill together. ;)

Hmm, you hang a burlap sack on Graham Hill’s Moustache, and it is going to look like the collest modern thing ever invented. I mean, it’s Graham Hill for Phil’s sake. For effective, I still prefer rain X.

So you’re a lazy SOB.

Oh alcohol is served, to anyone who isn’t the party in question, who one of the guests usually gets drunk and creates rifts that last two life times. Good times, good times. The worst social extravaganza is getting married. The second is a baby shower, however worse still is not doing these things. Trying to marry

When I bought my CTS V Wagon, I asked to test drive a CTS V before I ordered one. The dealer gave me a hard no. They said that they had a no test drive policy on the car not because they worried about me driving it, but because their insurer had called them and told them that they would need a rider to permit test

“There is a lot of rose tinted nostalgia for Alfa”.

Logically I could say yes, but logic and marketing seldom go hand in hand. Ever heard of Mini? When BMW bought Rover that was a near dead brand that made a few cars solely for the domestic UK market, and look at it now. Brand recognition and capital can make quick sales conquests. The same could be said for VWs

To me the only buyer for the Jeep Gladiator was cross shopping a Wrangler. If you want a pick up, I doubt if you are going to buy something as hauling compromised as the Gladiator, but I am sure there is at least one guy to whom that analysis makes sense.

I agree completely hence the needed more funds for roll out part of which was European product replacement.

I completely disagree. I am with Sergio that the Alfa Romeo brand has more positive locked up brand value than any car company in existence. The problem is that he died half way through the needed roll out and the funds got diverted immediately to Chrysler products. Most people in the US have no idea what an Alfa

Alfa being Alfa, no problem. There is already such a robust after market parts system for Alfa, it is the only company that I don’t worry about parts for ageing or abandoned cars.

AARRRRGH!!!!!!!!!

LOL I thought the same thing for a while. Honestly, 4 on the tree was one too many. I used to throw the Pontiac into second then switch between 2 and 3 and never stop for anything that wasn’t solid and in my way. Oh how I miss driving in the old days.
