It was sarcasm, you oaf.

Actually read the interview, this is just Kotaku being sensationalists again.

Oh yes, Valve a well renowned gaming company, wouldn't have tried a new operating system. Of course.

More posts without providing the alleged easily obtained proof.

Burden of proof etc etc.

This reminds of the time when Kotaku stated that a rumour had surfaced about the cancellation of FF Versus XIII.

np. There's a really cool website: http://www.finalfantasyxivcutscenes.com/ which has all the storyline and cutscenes for download.

Yeah there is... Gonna be a long one...

np, I need to change it up a bit seeing as we have new information with this new trailer.

It's speculated that Louisoix sent the heroes into the future because they are the only ones who could stop Bahamut. Nobody knows why he suddenly stopped destroying the land, it's one of the storylines that will be explained in ARR.

I've noticed a lot of people have been asking what's happening, and are confused; Well i'll try and point out the basics you need to understand the cutscene

There are certain events that shape the world in a major way, and following one of these events we go into something called a new "Umbral Era". The release of Bahamut was the transition from the sixth to the seventh Umbral Era.

Do some research.

Because Cataclysm was the first game to ever have a huge calamity, right?

Nope, as it's not time travel really. Think what happens to Link in OoT. Part of the mystery with XIV's story is working out why Bahamut stopped attacking everyone.

Source? Or is that just assumption?

That's one thing I like about Nintendo, They don't pull punches. If something is selling well they'll say it, but if something isn't selling well they won't try to deny it.

I would say that the introduction of Dalamud and the end of the world scenario, is a breath of fresh air in a somewhat stale area of storytelling. Simply because it was an MMO you expect the world to never end or change significantly, but that wasn't the case with XIV.
