Nothing in Texas. As a apartment dweller I can say it was a pain to go out and have to buy a set of pliers to replace a shower head because It'll be the only time I'll use em in 4 or 5 years.

My Bose TP-14A (Quiet Comfort3?) has been my go to for sitting situations (More than 30 minutes, not moving. On the go I'll buy the impulse brand earbuds to stick in my ears.

I know it's not a popular option, but I'm a fan of the mid calf/over the calf stockings. It keeps a little pressure on the legs all day, I don't get that ankle-divot from the bunched up sock, and it reflects enough heat that I stay warm but not too much that I start sweating.

Hopefully the jerk will do the right thing and fix it. If not, contact said jerk's friends and explain why the jerk is a jerk and apply peer pressure for the jerk to pay for the fixes. Perhaps your friend should treat this like a unexpected DIY event and learn how to repair it themselves.

Apple brought a new concept to the phone market with the iPhone that really changed the concept of what a "phone" does. With the different "Book" apps Apple really shouldn't need to get into the book publishing industry.
