I’m starting to think that maybe we shouldn’t have elected this fella President, you guys.

Why.

It seems I can’t stop. I cried on the phone with my grandma this morning, who told me not to give up, that our time will come. She remembers the coathangers.

And I’ll just cry one more time.

Where do I sign up to be pushed onto the Subway tracks?

If I’m being honest with myself, the content of that video has been the fuel that has enflamed my long support for HRC. I may like her for her wonkiness, work ethic and temperament, but my love for her was born from years of watching her endure so much misogynistic bullshit while keeping her head up and continuously

Completely agree.

I always knew what she went through. I saw the attacks on her when Bill was running for President. That’s why I respect her and never fall for false accusations towards her. The Republicans have been raising false allegations on her for 30 years.

Of course they didn’t want to talk about it. She might give wimmin dangerous ideas and then we’d all become uppity.

True. Those of us who were adults during the 90s remember the tons and tons of bullshit heaped on her at every fucking turn though. Why yes, I AM still bitter about that. That decade was a non-stop “know your place, bitch!” commentariate from all sides.

It’s really remarkable for people younger than, say, 50, and especially in my generation of millennials to really grasp what all of this must have been like. I’m 31 and have never lived with a partner; my mother, who is 7 years younger than Hillary, married my dad a month after they graduated college and never lived

Gonna leave this here.

I don’t want a buddy president or someone who’s an “outsider”, I want an accomplished dedicated intelligent president who gets shit done and grabs that little shitheel Ryan by the ear to reign in his stupid party.

I rather unexpectedly welled up during that segment. It concisely conveyed how much misogyny and public pressure changed and shaped her. I don’t think there’s a woman in America- especially those of us north of 40- that doesn’t understand how that feels. What she went through would have KO’d most of us, but she kept

I decided to put my Hillary sticker on my car this morning and now I’m sitting at my desk worrying that someone is vandalizing it.

At that point she should pick up the entire podium and drop it.

I watched this episode last night and it was a great encapsulation of what HRC has been through, and how the media/societal pressures have been trying (with some early success) to bring her to heel for decades. It was also a good/infuriating reminder that HRC is just one example of the women who have, and continue to

This isn’t going to happen but I still hope in her acceptance speech as she wins she’ll just be like “Oh btw, everyone call me ‘President Rodham’ kthxbai.”
