USWNT- Big fish in a very very small pond
Asking for the purpose of a thought exercise:
This argument is both comical and uninformed.
The ones writing the check maybe?
People who understand economics, and who understand that comparing the two based on their ability relative to their competition is stupid.
The people paying them probably do, given that’s where the money to pay them with comes from.
Equal pay why? Do they generate equal revenues? If yes, then fine. If no, then you’re a bloody communist.
*eyeroll* This tired schtick?
Stick a sock in it. People hated Hillary long before they knew who Bernie Sanders was.
“huuuurgh youtubers shouldn’t make money on youtube”.
The amount of salt in your post could supply an entire pilgrimage to mecca.
Ya’ll are painting with a broad brush there, and it (the whole broad brushing) honestly annoys me. Lemme guess, you also think that all republicans are either flag waving hicks that want to gas all non-whites, or are rich elite fatcats who…
Businesses aren’t obligated to advertise on YouTube. There is no law that says they can’t pull their ads from YouTube. If a business doesn’t want to work with YouTube then that is their right. To say otherwise suggests that these corporations have no right to control where they advertise their content.
I never even suggested the idea that we should “turn over the power of free speech to corporations”. I said that like everyone else, a corporation has the right to free speech. As such, they have the right to choose where they advertise their products. If they choose not to do it on YouTubers who are bigots then…
A YouTuber thought he could go toe-to-toe with actual journalists for a newspaper that’s won 39 Pulitzer Prizes, and, surprise surprise, has egg on his face for not verifying everything that his sources told him.
I seriously don’t feel bad for youtubers at all. Get a real damn job that benefits society.
I would like to provide another friendly reminder to everyone here that major brands pulling their ads off Youtube are not a violation of any YouTubers’ free speech. This is because only the government is prevented from restricting free speech. To say that businesses are violating the free speech of bigots by pulling…
There’s no way. That’s a potential of a month and week of missed work, which is a significant amount of time. If you took away the reasoning and presented the options to people about who should be promoted or get a raise, everyone will pick the one who didn’t miss a month of work
Why do they have to be specific to a certain need? Why not just up the total number of sick days for everyone? You either trust your employees (to not abuse this) or not.
“Critics fear that employers will be even more hesitant to hire, promote or invest in woman workers if they know there’s a chance she’ll be absent three more days a month.”
